The buttery crust of these delicious bars is perfect with the raspberry topping.
1 C. brown sugar 1 1/4 C. flour 1 C. oats 1/4 tsp. salt 6 oz. butter 3/4 C. raspberry jam
Mix together the sugar, flour, oats, salt and butter until a meal-like consistency forms. Press 1/2 of the mixture into a 6x9" casserole dish. Add a layer of the jam. Top with the remaining mixture and press into a firm layer. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into squares. Yield: about 18 squares
