The best way to improve on the all-American hotdog
1 (15oz.) can chili with beans 1 (6oz.) can tomato paste 1/4 C. minced green pepper 1/4 C. minced onion 1 tsp. prepared mustard 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. chili powder 8 hotdogs (8-10) 8 hotdog buns (8-10)
In slow-cooking pot, combine chili with beans, tomato paste, green pepper, onion, mustard, salt, and chili powder. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. In large saucepan, drop hotdogs into boiling water and simmer several minutes. Toast buns. Serve hotdog on each bun. Spoon chili mixture onto hotdogs.
