Ingredients

1/2 C. shortening
1 C. sugar
1 egg
1 C. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 C. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powde1/2 tsp salt
5 heaping Tbs. cocoa

Filling:
1/2 C. shortening
3/4 C. confectioners sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 C. marshmallow fluff

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine shortening, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla and mix well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to shortening mixture, mixing until smooth. Drop by spoonful onto a lightly greased cookie sheet, about 3 inches apart. Flatten, somewhat, with a spoon. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool 1 minute and then remove to a cooling rack to cool completely. Spread filling on one cookie, flat side, and top with another cookie, flat side to the filling.

To make filling, mix all ingredients well.

Yield: about 1 1/2 dozen
