The perfect holiday cookie to get everyone in a festive mood!
2 1/2 C. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 1/4 C. sugar 3/4 C. butter 1/2 C. eggnog 1 tsp. vanilla 2 egg yolks 1 Tbs. nutmeg
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside. In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter with an electric mixer to form a grainy paste. Add eggnog, vanilla and egg yolks and beat at medium speed until smooth. Add the dry ingredients and beat at low speed just until combined. Do not over-mix. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets, 1" apart. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. Bake for 23-25 minutes or until bottoms turn light brown. Transfer to cool, flat surface immediately with spatula.
