Cool down the punch in a glass punchbowl with spectral hands. Make sure your punchbowl is large enough to float two or three. They're easy to make.
Several latex gloves Water
Fill disposable gloves with water, freeze, then take the gloves off. It's a little tricky. We found it worked best with thick latex gloves, and it's important to lay them flat in the freezer so the fingers will be solidly attached later. Run a little hot water over the hands to loosen the gloves, but then lay them on a dishtowel and use scissors to cut off the gloves. Make more than you'll need to allow for the ones that break. The hands look best in a punch without ice cream or sherbet. Add vodka for a sort of super-cosmopolitan.
