Adjust the toppings to your family's taste. For the kids, give them mild taco sauce and lettuce. For the adults, kick it up a level with hot taco sauce and jalapeño peppers.
8-10 Extra Crunchy or Original Battered Tenders 1 15 oz. can chili beans, drained 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce 2 Tbs. taco sauce 3 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. garlic salt 2 C. coarsely broken tortilla chips 1 C. sour cream (8 oz. container) 1/2 C. sliced green onions (with tops) 1 medium tomato, chopped 1 C. shredded cheddar cheese Shredded lettuce (optional) Chili peppers (optional) Taco sauce (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a saucepan, heat 8-10 frozen Tenders, beans, tomato sauce, taco sauce, chili powder and garlic salt to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Place chips in ungreased 7x11 inch baking dish. Pour Tender mixture over chips. Spread with sour cream. Sprinkle with onions, tomato and cheese. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 20- 25 minutes.
