Snap into one of these when you feel like a yummy snack!
1 C. sugar 3/4 C. butter or regular, softened 1/4 C. molasses 1 egg 2 C. all purpose flour 1 Tbs ground ginger 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp salt 3 Tbs sugar
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat 1 C. sugar and the butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with a wooden spoon, until soft and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients except 3 Tbs. sugar until well blended. Place 3 Tbs. sugar in a small bowl. Shape dough by the Tbs. into balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
