A great dessert made with oatmeal--and it's healthier than those brownies you were looking at!
1 pkg. white cake mix 2 C. uncooked oatmeal 1/2 C. packed brown sugar 1 C. vegetable oil 1 egg 3/4 jar caramel ice cream topping
In a large bowl combine the cake mix, oatmeal and brown sugar. Gently stir in the oil and eggs, combining thoroughly. Pat 1/2 of the dough into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread the ice cream topping over the top. Crumble the remaining dough over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
