20 Fabulous Fruit Desserts for Summer

The warm weather beckons us to think about seasonal desserts, and my favorites are the ones that involve fresh fruit. Read on to hear our 20 favorite fruit desserts for spring and summer.

Strawberry Lemonade Pie: A refreshing summer dessert that both kids and adults enjoy!
Blueberry Pie Supreme: Blueberry jam, cream cheese and sour cream make this a creamy pie that's hard to turn down. Try low-fat cream cheese and sour cream for a still-delicious, but less guilt-ridden taste.

Summertime Delight Watermelon Sorbet: This delicious frozen treat is the perfect dessert for a warm summer evening. It's cool, refreshing, and has just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy. You don’t even need an ice cream maker to make it!

Apricot Upside-Down Cake: By substituting apricot puree for all the oil and most of the butter, the calorie content is greatly reduced in this recipe.

Sassy Dee’s Wild Raspberry Blackberry Pie: This is a very pretty pie. It has great flavor and it's a great holiday or any-other-day dessert. The cream topping adds some delicious flavor.

Strawberry Mango Cobbler: For a low-cal version of this tropical treat, use your favorite sugar substitute and serve with frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.

Blueberry Muffin Cake: Like a giant blueberry muffin, this is a versatile cake that is great for brunch, dessert or even breakfast.

Mulberry Pie: Ever wonder what to do with mulberries? I make pies out of them. Don't worry about those short, green stems that are on the berries when you pick them. You can't get them off anyway, and you will never notice them after the pie has baked. They are wonderful.
Sweet-Tart Apple Berry Apricot Pie: They all combine in this wonderful pie creation. Since these are our favorite flavors, combining them was a "given"!!! The texture and flavor are incredible and I know you will think so, too!

English Plum Pudding: This elaborate pudding is oh so British and quite elaborate. Packed with raisins, currants, cinnamon and spices, it's topped with a cognac-based sauce to finish it off.

Grilled Peaches with Fresh Cherry Topping: This creates a pretty dessert with layers of brown sugar, grilled peaches, ice cream, and fresh cherry sauce.

Real Strawberry Shortcake: Nothing says summer like homemade shortcake topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream!

Fresh Figs Baked with Honey and Cream: This special dessert is the essence of indulgence. It's truly a treat.

Tennessee Front Porch Watermelon Pie: This is a wonderful “Country Dessert” right after a meal like Chicken and Dumplin's or Country Fried Steak. As far as I am concerned, I could eat this dessert after any meal! It is a nice, fluffy sweet pie that really looks and tastes wonderful!
Sassy Dee’s Wild Raspberry Blackberry Pie: This is a very pretty pie, it has great flavor and it's a great holiday or any-other-day dessert. The cream topping just adds more flavor. Cost of the pie is around $22.00 to make.
Light as a Cloud Raspberry Lemon Meringue Pie: I created this wonderful lemon meringue pie with fresh raspberries layered in the lemon filling and topped with, of course, the cloud of meringue. We love the combination and this was my best effort blending these flavors.
Americana Apple Pie: This red white and blue pie is the winner of Recipe4Living's Political and Presidential Recipe Contest! It would be a fabulous all-American treat served at your Presidential Parties or any flag waving day. It uses cranberries, apples and blueberries and it's very quick and easy to make!  Make it extra scrumptious and top the warm pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Ms. Ruby’s Huckleberry Rag Pudding: If you can get a hold of huckleberries, this is a delicious desert that you need to try!

Cantaloupe Cream Pie: This cool, refreshing custard pie is a unique way to use cantaloupe.

Fruit Dessert Pizza: This clever dessert is always a great choice for a party or potluck dinner.
