Baked Chicken Drumstick Recipe, Hints & Videos
Baked chicken drumsticks are usually considered a finger food that is best when it's served as an appetizer or snack. But they also make a great meal all by themselves served with fresh fruit or veggies. Although chicken drumsticks can be made in the crockpot or on the stove, baking them generally reduces the amount of fat and calories in them.
Baked Chicken Drumstick Recipe
Maple Crunch Drumsticks
Add the maple crunch flavor by using maple syrup and maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal.
Ingredients
1/2 C. butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/4 C. pure maple syrup
3 envelopes maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
8 chicken drumsticks
Directions
Melt butter or margarine in 13 x 9-inch pan in a 375 degree oven. In medium mixing bowl, beat eggs and syrup. In a paper bag, mix oatmeal and salt. Dip drumsticks in egg and syrup mixture, then shake in bag with oatmeal to coat.
Place coated chicken in single layer in butter or margarine in the baking pan. Spoon some of the melted margarine over each. Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until done.
Yield: 4 Serving.
