Beat Those Midsummer Blues Away!

After Fourth of July is over, many of us get red, white, and blue of a different kind. Yes, some of us are prone to midsummer blues: the heat affects us poorly, and we don't have the excitement of a holiday or long weekend to look forward to. Follow these tips to rescue yourself from the slump and get a fresh dose of cheer!

Make yourself happier by following these tips!

1. Eat Breakfast. Everyone says it, but that's because it's true. If you start your day with only a cup of coffee or an energy drink, you're setting yourself up for a crash and some resulting blues. Balance out those energy-delivering drinks with some food! Eat cereal or a bagel, and get some nutrition by adding some cream cheese or milk. You'll be more energetic and smiley all day long! 

2. Mix up your meals. Everyone gets a spell of the blahs if they eat the same meals every week. Try picking out a few new things at the store, such as new vegetables and maybe even a new spread or dip! You'll be surprised how much breaking out of a routine can be refreshing!
