Drunk Desserts For the Booze-Enthused

Drunk Desserts For the Booze-Enthused

Dessert is delicious, and you should ALWAYS make room for it after a meal. What’s that? You ate six pounds of food? Too bad, make room for a slice of pie. My favorite desserts have a friend of mine named Liquor in them (Ms. Liqueur, if you’re fancy). No, I am not an alcoholic, but alcohol definitely adds a depth of flavor that nothing else can. Here are five of my favorite alcohol-injected recipes from our site. One of them is called Brandy Balls. Enjoy!

Liqueur-Filled Chocolate Cups: Chocolate and booze, that’s all I pretty much have to say about this recipe.

Pressure Cooker Mocha Cheesecake: Pressure cookers aren't just for stews and roasts, they can be used for desserts too! Don't be afraid of using them to their full potential! Many of the newer models also have plenty of safety features, so don't be afraid! This recipe for pressure cooked mocha cheesecake was a hit last time I made it!

Salted Whiskey Caramels: Allison introduced me to these, so should I refer to her as my enabler? Chocolate and whiskey are two of my favorite things, and salt is definitely up there too, so she had to go find a recipe that combined them all. Well, I’ll be in a corner shoveling these into my mouth.

Rumchata Cupcakes: If you’ve never had Rumchata, I’m sorry. I’m sorry you haven’t tried this heavenly nectar made by combining rum and horchata (a sweet cream drink made of rice from Latin America). Seriously, this stuff is dangerously good. Jen thought it’d be a good idea to put it into a cupcake. I approve.

Brandy Balls: I had to save the most laugh-inducing name for last. Yes, I’m aware I have the mind of a 13 year old, but that’s okay because these are delicious.
