Savory fondue recipes are typically paired with bread, crackers and vegetables.  Sweet fondue recipes, on the other hand, are usually paired with cake, pretzels, marshmallows or even fruit.  Your options are limitless!

Sweet Fondue Recipes

Chocolate Grand Marnier Fondue - Serve this chocolate fondue with sliced fruit or pieces of bread.

Chocolate Orange Fondue - A chocolate and orange piece of heaven, great with strawberries and cake for dipping. For best results use a chocolate that is at least 70 percent cocoa.

Brownies and Chocolate-Raspberry Fondue - Double your chocolate pleasure with a two-ingredient microwave chocolate fondue and fudgy brownie dippers.

Tips for Cooking with Chocolate

  • Use a potato or vegetable parer to make chocolate curls for decorating cakes and pies. You can use bars of semi-sweet or bitter chocolate. The chocolate should be at room temperature or even very slightly warmer. You can adjust the thickness and length of the curls by the pressure of your strokes.
  • To melt chocolate, chop fine. Place in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave, uncovered, at 100 percent power, stirring every 10 seconds.
  • Use self-sealing plastic bags to melt butter or chocolate in the microwave.
