Ineeka Tea
Every once in a while you come across a cooking aid that is simply inspirational. It's simple, smart and genius. This is the case with Ineeka Tea bags. The Ineeka Tea products use tea grown on 12,000 acres in northeast India where the founder is from. He uses fair trade tea and was voted Best Beverage at the 2006 Fancy Food show.
But as impressive as the history is, it could mean nothing if the product fell short of greatness. But it doesn't. One tin comes with 14 bags, but these are not typical tea bags. Each bag comes with arms that fold out so that your bag props perfectly in your cup for ideal steeping.
And though the bag looks like a tea bag, it acts more like loose tea. Before you pour the water, you tear off the top of the bag so the tea leaves float loosely around in the water and you can pout the water through the bag without getting the leaves everywhere. I told you. Genius.
