Let Your Juices Run Wild: Refreshing Berry Tofu Smoothie

Have fun and create your own version of this triple berry tofu smoothie. Add your favorite fruits and bases to find your perfect match. A refreshing smoothie is all you need to stay healthy and cool this summer.

When it comes to summer one of my favorite things to eat/drink is a yummy and refreshing smoothie. They are extremely simple to make and you can add your favorite foods to them to personalize your creation. I love using either tofu or yogurt as a base for my smoothie because it is a lot healthier than using a sorbet like many restaurants do. Smoothies are a simple way to get your dairy and fruit servings in your daily diet.   

Fit and Fab living had a great recipe for a triple berry tofu smoothie and I added some yogurt to my version to give it a creamier texture. I also added blackberries, which are extremely high in antioxidants.

1/8 package silken tofu

1/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt

Soft 1/2 banana

1 C. frozen strawberries

1/4 C. blackberries

1/4 C. raspberries

1 Tbs. honey

1/2 C. ice  


In a blender combine all ingredients and pulse until smooth and thick.
