When planning for a party, there are so many things to think about. You have to shop for supplies, put up decorations, and, most importantly, you have to cook! While it would be nice to have all the time in the world to prep for your party, it's not likely to happen. That’s why these recipes are perfect for parties; they can be made ahead of time, allowing you to relax a little bit on the big day.

Overnight: These dishes require some day-before preparation, so you’ll have less to do the day of the party.

Crockpot Morning Casserole: Perfect for a brunch get-together, this dish will cook all night long, so it will be waiting for you the next morning. 

Party Chicken: This simple dish needs to be refrigerated overnight.  Then, it slow cooks for 3 hours the next day, so you can put it in the oven and forget about it.  

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls: Make them the night before, let them rise overnight, then bake them the next day.

Shrimp Roll Ups: Let these fun appetizers marinate through the night so they’ll be full of flavor the next day.

Creamy Cheddar Cheese Soup:  This recipe thickens with time.  Just heat it on the stove or in your crockpot the next day.

Cook Later:  Prep these meals early in the day and cook them later on.

Marinated Char-Grilled Chicken Breast: Marinate these in the morning and grill ‘em up once the guests arrive.

Classic Lasagna with Meat Sauce: Make the cheese mixture and meat sauce early, then assemble the lasagna and pop in the oven when you’re ready.

Make Ahead Spinach Phyllo Rolls Ups: You can make these appetizers up to 3 months in advance, freeze them, and bake them on the day of your party.


Refrigerate: Make these dishes on the morning of the party then throw them in the fridge until party time.
