My Favorite Summer Drinks

Recently, I got the chance to try a drink I’d been meaning to sample for quite a while. It’s known as a “michelada,” and is a Mexican drink made with beer and lime juice. Sounds pretty normal, right? Well, then they have to go and add some sauces and spices. Mine had some Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, and black pepper in it and was finished with a cayenne chili salt on the rim. Sounds weird, right? Yep, but it’s absolutely delicious. Keep reading for some more of the best summer drink recipes!

Michelada: Well here it is, the drink I talked about. This is a great way to cool off on a hot day. I like to pair this drink with some simple chips, salsa, and guacamole. It’s seriously delicious (even though it may sound a little weird), but try it out!

Pineapple Margarita: Oh, the pineapple margarita has got to be one of the best summer drinks. It’s light, refreshing, and gets a buzz going pretty quickly. Plus, the natural sugar from the pineapple is more than enough to sweeten the drink!

Homemade Limoncello: Personally, there’s nothing like sitting outside on a warm summer evening and sipping some homemade limoncello. It’s super easy to make, and is a great drink to serve at parties!

Limoncello Spritzer: The word spritzer is a fun one to say, isn't it? Anyway, I love limoncello, but some can find the taste a little bit too overwhelming. That's why I always have this limoncello spritzer recipe on hand at parties for when people can’t handle the lemon flavor of pure limoncello.

Summer Rhubarb Lemonade: Rhubarb is so delicious, but it can do so much more than be placed into a pie! Try this out to put a different spin on rhubarb!

Summer Slush: Citrus and bourbon, what more can I say about this one?
