National Ice Cream Month

National Ice Cream Month

National Ice Cream Month occurs in July, just in time for hot weather and cool snacks. Why not make your own ice cream in your favorite flavor this year with Recipe4Living?

In celebration of summer and kids everywhere, in 1984, President Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month. The third Sunday of July is National Ice Cream Day and is to be celebrated by eating ice cream in all its wonderful forms. According to the IDFA (International Dairy Foods Association) he did so in recognition of "ice cream as a fun and nutritious food that is enjoyed by a full 90% of the nation's population." Did he forget to mention how versatile and delicious it is too? If so, you can be rest assured we didn't, as these tasty recipes aptly demonstrate.
