Paula Deen's BBQ Sauce

Paula Deen has bottled her sweet and spicy BBQ Sauce and served up a winner. It comes off initially as being sweet but then the black pepper and worchestershire sauce kick in and deliver a spicy kick at the end. Add to that a smooth and easy-to-apply texture and you've got a winner.

I originally tried it on chicken and ribs and liked it so much that I decided to try it in a few recipes as well. The first one I tried it on was Southern BBQ Pork Chops.

A simple, spicy version compliments of Southern good ol' home cooking.

Ingredients

1/4 C. Italian salad dressing

1/4 C. barbecue sauce

1 tsp. chili powder

4 boneless center cut pork chops, 3/8-inch thick

Directions

Combine first three ingredients and pour over pork. Cover container and place pork in refrigerator for 30 minutes or overnight. Heat nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Drain liquid from pork and save. Place pork in skillet and brown for a few minutes on both sides. Pour the liquid that was saved over the top of chops. Cover pan. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.

Serves 4.

I really enjoyed the extra spiciness of Paula Deen's sauce on top of the chili powder. The rest of the family loved it too.
