Pizza Pizzazz

Anyone with children will tell you that you end up making a lot of pizza. Whether it's an easy dinner or a midnight snack, we certainly make a lot of frozen pizzas in our house. The problem with frozen pizza has always been the oven. I get tired of turning it on and cleaning it out. Plus, depending on the pizza, you can end up with a lot of cheese on the bottom of the oven.
Imagine my surprise when I was given a Pizza Pizzazz from Presto as a Christmas gift one year. Frankly, I thought it was an idiotic gift, but didn't say anything to the sibling that gave it to me. Evidently, my lack of interest showed on my face as my brother assured me that I would love this item.
It sat on the shelf in my pantry for 6 months until one hot June day after school let out. We ran out of gas for the BBQ and decided to make some frozen pizzas. The problem with that idea though is that it's usually well into the 80's by the end of June in Illinois. And it's humid too. I was not thrilled to have to turn on the oven. So I dragged out the Pizza Pizzazz and decided to give it a test run. It was fantastic. In fact I love it so much, I no longer turn on my oven to make frozen pizzas.
The basic concept of this handy gadget is that it bakes evenly and without generating a lot of heat. You take the pizza straight from the freezer and place it directly on the round aluminum baking pan. Then you set the timer for up to 20 minutes and the heating elements to bake the top, bottom or both sides of the pizza. This allows you to adjust your crusts to crispy or soft. And in a matter of minutes, the timer goes off and you have a perfect pizza without the hassle of heating up the entire kitchen.
The baking pan detaches from the Pizza Pizzazz and can be run through your dishwasher. Plus, the entire thing stores in a small space and sets up in less than a minute. This handy little item is available at most department and specialty stores for about $50.00.
The only down side is that you can only cook 1 pizza at a time and it doesn't work well with deep-dish pizzas. But I'm sold on it, and have even gone so far as to tell my brother how much I love it. It's not easy to eat crow sometimes, but it's now easier to eat pizza in my house.
