Penne with Chicken & Broccoli

Ronzoni Tester1

Review:

"We prepared this to package directions. Our first thoughts were of how bland it looked. We saw no hint of the broccoli as you can see from the above picture. Sadly it tasted as bland as it looked. We added ground garlic, dill and lemon pepper and it helped a bit. Then we tried it as cold salad on crackers. It was a little better but still missing the mark.

But to be fair we like things with a little zing, our taste runs toward the hot and spicy southwest style of cooking. I know there are people that like this kind of eating up north. But not at my house. This is not something I would buy or use. "

Review: "I have just prepared the Ronzoni Bistro Premade Pasta. The 'penne with chicken and broccoli.' This was very easy to prepare, in the microwave for 90 minutes then into the bowl. I fixed this for my daughter right after school so we could quickly get her to soccer practice.

It was very easy but when I poured it into the bowl it had a slight grey color and my daughter was a little put off by the smell. So with much coaxing she did try it but did not like the flavor much. I tried it as well and was not pleased with it. It tasted strange and left a strange after taste. Needless to say I fixed her something else to eat and we were on our way."

Spaghetti and Meatballs

Review: "The Ronzoni Bistro spaghetti and meatballs was surprisingly yummy. My 3 year old daughter LOVED it. My 12 year old son asked if I had another package for him to have for supper. He was disappointed when I had to tell him no! The sauce was pleasantly seasoned. It did NOT taste like canned pasta at all. Even the meatballs tasted good and had a good texture. Even though the package was "squishy", the pasta wasn't mushed when I poured it into the dish to serve. Each noodle retained it's shape. My husband even gave the taste his seal of approval."

"Finally!  A ready-to-eat pasta product that tastes homemade!  The product doesn't require refrigeration, is just the right-sized portion, has plenty of meatballs, doesn't taste salty or have that "off" taste, & make for a nice lunch at work or dinner at home.  The only negative is that it didn't come with parmesan cheese.  I will definitely purchase this product.  This is the highest praise I can give, since I've always made my own semi-homemade pastas."

Linguine with Chicken & Mushrooms

Review:

"The product I have tested was terrible. It smelled funny but I tasted it anyways. The chicken tasted like it was from a can of chicken, I don't like mushrooms and not very fond of white sauce either. It was easy to prepare though and made a perfect meal for one. I just didn't like it at all. Sorry."

"I thought it had too much sauce and not enough pasta."
