Ingredients

  • 4 lg. carrots
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. flour
  • 1 C. water

Directions

Scrape carrots and cut into 1/2-inch pieces. Melt butter in skillet, add carrots and cook 5 minutes. Add salt and sugar and sprinkle with flour, mixing well. Add stock or water, cover skillet, and cook gently for 20 minutes.
