This is a great recipe to follow for the perfect apple crisp dessert.

  • Topping:
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 C. oatmeal
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1 C. corn flakes, crushed
  • 3/4 C. margarine, softened - not melted
  • Filling:
  • 6-10 apples, sliced
  • Cinnamon and sugar to taste

Mix topping dry ingredients.  Cut in margarine. In a separate bowl, mix the filling ingredients well. Firmly pack about 3/4 of the topping mixture into a 9x13 pan, add filling and pat remaining topping mixture on top of filling. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour.

  • Very love it. However, instead of using the 1 cup of corn flakes I used 2 cups of the oats. Also cooked it for about 50 minutes instead of 1 hour.
