Slow Cooker Beef Recipes
This classic dinner combination is the perfect choice for hearty, comfort food.
2 medium potatoes - peeled and cut into 1"
2 lbs. of ground beef
1 large onion finely chopped
1-1/2 C. ketchup - divided
3/4 C. crushed butter flavored crackers (ie. ritz)
2 tsp. salt
1/3 C. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
Place the potatoes in a slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion, 3/4 C. ketchup, cracker crumbs, eggs and salt. Mix well. Place over the potatoes and pat down to form a loaf. In the same bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and the remaining 3/4 C. ketchup, mix well. Spread over top of loaf. Cook on low setting for 6 - 10 hours. Drain excess liquid and serve!

Slow Cooker Chicken Recipes
In Italy, spirited chicken dishes like this one are known as 'pollo alla contadina' or peasant-style chicken. Serve with pasta such as fettuccine or linguine.
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. dried rosemary
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
8 oz. turkey Italian sausages, casings removed
8 (4 oz.) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/4 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
1/4 C. dry vermouth
1 1/2 Tbs. cornstarch
2 Tbs. cold water
Salt to taste
1/4 C. chopped fresh parsley
In a 5 to 6 qt. slow cooker, combine onion, bell pepper, garlic, rosemary, and oregano. Crumble sausages over onion mixture. Rinse chicken and pat dry; arrange in a single layer over sausage. Sprinkle with pepper. Pour in vermouth. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 5 to 7 hours, or until chicken is tender and cooked through when pierced. Transfer chicken to a warm, deep platter, and cover to keep warm. In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and cold water. Stir into cooking liquid in slow cooker. Increase heat to high, and cover. Cook, stirring 2 to3 times, until sauce is thickened (about 10 more minutes). Season to taste with salt. Spoon sauce over chicken, and sprinkle with parsley.

Slow Cooker Pork Recipes

1 (16 oz.) can cranberry sauce
1/3 C. French salad dressing
1 onion, sliced
1 (3 lb.) boneless pork loin roast
In a medium bowl, stir together the cranberry sauce, salad dressing, and onion. Place pork in a slow cooker, and cover with the sauce mixture. Cover, and cook on High for 4 hours, or on Low for 8 hours. Pork is done when the internal temperature has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Slow Cooker Vegetarian Recipes
Mix together zucchini and summer squash and slow cook with garlic powder, parmesan and dry bread crumbs.
1 1/2 lb. zucchini
1 1/2 lb. summer squash
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly-ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 C. butter or margarine
3 Tbs. fine dry bread crumbs
3 Tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
Cut all of the squash into 1/2-inch pieces. Place in the bottom of a crockpot. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Dot with butter; sprinkle with crumbs and cheese. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or until tender.

Slow Cooker Pasta Recipes
A simple yet delicious casserole with beef and noodles slow-cooked to perfection.
1 1/2 lb. Ground beef
1 can Pizza sauce (14 oz)
1 pkg. Noodles (12 oz)
4 oz. Cheese, mozzarella
1 small can Mushrooms
1 Onion (diced)
1 can Spaghetti sauce (14 oz)
4 oz Cheese, cheddar
1 pkg. Pepperoni
1 Green pepper (diced)
Brown meat and onion. Drain grease. Add sauces. Simmer. Boil noodles until tender; drain. In crock pot, put a layer of noodles, meat mixture, cheeses and pepperoni. Repeat layer one more time. Cook on high for 30 minutes, then on low for 1 hour or until cheese melts.
