Sneaky Snake: Substitutions with Greek Yogurt

I make no apologies or excuses for the following statement: when I was a younger I ate sour cream right out of the tub. I also put it on strawberries, about two cups on my batches of nachos, and again, ate it right out of the tub. When I say I was a fat child, I hope you understand why. Instead of crawling into a corner and assuming the fetal position, I immediately put on my cook’s cap (a casual version of the chef’s hat) and thought of what I could use as a substitute. Eventually, I stumbled on an article claiming that Greek yogurt makes the perfect swap. Despite my initial eye-roll at the concept, I tried it out. Perfect it is.

If you’ve read some of my other articles on here, you know that I can’t bake to save my life (just Google baking inept and look who’s there). However, I have heard that Greek yogurt is a fantastic substitute for sour cream in baked dishes, too!

Here are some of your favorite recipes that use sour cream. Try subbing in some Greek Yogurt next time, you won’t regret it!
