Make Your Own Salt Substitute
If you don't want to spend several dollars on a tiny bottle of salt substitute from the grocery store, try making your own! Here's what you should do:
Harvest your herbs. Use basil, Asian basil, oregano, oriental oregano, and rosemary. Dry slowly in oven. Crush using a mortar and pestle or another method of your choice. Add Kentucky steak seasoning, pepper medley, and a little cumin and paprika. This is terrific as a salt substitue and only requires a quick crush.
