For all the French toast lovers, this recipe is for you. Who doesn’t love a good French toast in the morning? Not only is the recipe is sweet and good to eat, it even looks like a Christmas meal! The sugared apples and cranberries give that Christmas vibe.

  • 1 cup of light brown sugar
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups of tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup of dried cranberries
  • 12 slices of white bread
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1-½ cups of whole milk
  • 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350F.
Using a small mixing bowl, combine the light brown sugar, butter, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Place the sliced apples and cranberries in the sugary mixture.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and the remaining cinnamon. Dunk every slice of white bread into the mixture and place it on a greased 13x9 inch-baking dish. Top the bread off with sugary apples and cranberries. Be sure to cover the dish with foil.
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 40 minutes. After the 40 minutes are up, take off the foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes uncovered or until the bread is golden brown.
Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
