Almond Bars
Ingredients
- l/2 lb. almonds
- 2 egg whites
- l/2 lb. confectioners' sugar
Directions
Beat egg whites stiff. Mix ground almonds and sugar. Fold in beaten egg whites. Toss onto sugared moulding board. Ould into roll. Flatten, spread with meringue. Cut into strips one inch by three inches and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 20 minutes.
