Almond Cheddar Cheese Ball
Serving Size / Yield
- 1 C. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 C. milk
- 1 8-oz. block cream cheese, softened
- 2 C. slivered almonds
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the cheddar cheese and milk together until it forms a thick paste. Set heat to lowest setting and add in the cream cheese. Mix together until it's a pale yellow. Allow to cool slightly.
Once cooled slightly but the consistency of clay, form the cheese into a ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for two hours. Alternatively, place the cheese into a sphere mold and allow to harden in the fridge for two hours.
Once hardened, roll the cheese ball in the slivered almonds and serve.
