Almost Candy Bars

This is a quick and easy bar to make that tastes like a million dollars. You can switch ingredients to make it taste different every time; the flavor of cake mix, type of chips and nuts. You can serve it as a brownie or as candy.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine dry cake mix and butter with a fork or pastry blender until crumbling. Pat in the bottom of an ungreased 10x15 cake pan. Next evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips and toffee chips over the pat in crust. Over the top of that evenly spread the coconut. Next evenly sprinkle the almonds over top and last drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the top.  Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.

It is important to add the ingredients in the order I listed so the chocolate doesn't burn and the coconut and nuts get crispy and the sweetened condensed milk goes over top because it is the glue that holds this all together.

  • Hi Mrspeeps,
You should bake this for 20-30 minutes. We have edited the recipe to include this information. Thanks!
