Looking for something to do with those apples you picked at the apple orchard? This recipe will put them to good use! Nothing sounds more festive than apples and cinnamon. The aroma in your home will be amazing.

  • Filling:
  • 5 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¾ C. sugar
  • 2 T. butter, chilled
  • 6 T. flour
  • Crust:
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 C. butter, chilled
  • 4 T. water

Start your oven to 425 degrees. A cupcake or muffin pan will work, so get that out for your mini pies. In one bowl mix your flour, salt and butter. Add water slowly and stop as soon as the dough starts sticking. Roll out and add flour. Cut 12, 4 inch pieces with a round cookie cutter or cup. Form the dough in bowl form into the individual pans. Mix up your filling and place it into the individual holes. You can use the extra crust and place it on top of your mini pies if you choose. Bake in oven for about 20 minutes.
