I adapted this casserole recipe from one I got from an Amish cookbook. I  just tweaked it a little bit.

  • 2 C. cooked, cubed chicken
  • 2 C. uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbs. melted butter
  • 1 C. shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Layer ingredients in large baking dish in the order it is given. Bake 30-40 minutes.

  • I used the small elbow macaroni and it didn't get cooked enough so I cooked it another 15 minutes. I also mixed all the ingredients together and baked in a 5 qt dish. It wasn't anything to write home about, but it wasn't that bad either.
