  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1/4 C. warm water
  • 2 Tbs. margarine, softened
  • 1 C. warm milk
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 C. bread flour

Preheat your oven at 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix yeast with warm water until it dissolves. Add margarine, milk and sugar. Beat on low speed for 1 minute and on high for 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and mix for a few more minutes. Cover and let it sit for 1 hour. Stir batter down. Spoon into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
