These apple and chocolate brownies are fantastic, and are a wonderful change-up from the usual chocolate brownie recipe. Serve these with your favorite chocolate frosting on top and enjoy as part of an ice cream sundae!

  • 1 C. chocolate
  • 2 Tbs. sweet cream butter
  • 2 medium apples
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • pinch salt
  • 2 1/4 medium apples, minced very finely (pureed also works)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and liberally grease a baking pan. Melt chocolate in the microwave by mixing every 10 seconds. Allow to cool. Add sugar, salt, and set aside.

Add eggs to the mix gradually, mixing with a hand mixer. Add the minced or pureed apples, and pour into the greased baking dish. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until set and cooked through. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
