4 patties


  • 2 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 2 tsp. dried basil
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 oz. blue cheese crumbles
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 C. mushrooms, sliced and sautéed
  • 1 sweet onion, sliced and caramelized in butter
  • 1 apple, sliced

In medium bowl, mix ground turkey with herbs, salt and pepper. Mix well with hands until seasonings are incorporated into meat. In a small bowl, mix butter and blue cheese. Divide meat into four equal parts. Form two thin patties from each quarter of meat. Place blue mixture in middle of 4 patties. Top with remaining patties. Press edges together. Cook burgers for 5 to 6 minutes on each side until cooked thoroughly. Place bugers on bun. Top with sliced apples.
