  • 2 CT of pie crust dough
  • 2 lb. apples (Golden Delicious or another tart, firm variety), sliced
  • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
  • 5 Tbs. sugar
  • 2 Tbs. cinnamon

Directions

Preheat the oven for 400°F.
Form dough into a flat and long rectangle about 3 inches wide and 9 inches long. Place the dough in a lightly greased 9-inch round tart pan.
Overlap apples on dough leaving an inch border around the edge. Fold any dough hanging over pan back onto itself; crimp edges at 1-inch intervals.
Brush melted butter over apples and onto dough edge. Sprinkle 2 Tbs. sugar over dough edge and the other 3 Tbs. over apples. Repeat with cinnamon.
Bake in oven for about 30-45 minutes or until apples are soft, with browned edges, and crust has caramelized to a dark golden brown.
Remove tart from oven, and let cool at least 15 minutes and serve.
