  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 diced yellow onion
  • 5 chopped cloves garlic
  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 6 sprigs thyme
  • Salt and pepper

Season the pork generously with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat and then add the pork chops. Sear for 4 minutes per side and then set aside the pork. Reduce the heat to medium and add the garlic and onions. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 8 minutes. Add the apple cider and then add the pork back to the pan. Add the thyme and simmer with the pot covered for 1.5 hours.
