  • 1 1/2 C. oil
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 C. chopped apples
  • 3 C. flour
  • 1 C. nuts
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • TOPPING
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1/4 C. milk

Directions

Beat eggs, sugar and oil together. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla, nuts and apples. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/2 hours.

FOR TOPPING: Bring margarine, brown sugar and milk to boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Pour on cake while warm.
