Apple Dumplings

Like a great homemade apple cobbler without all the fuss. I took it to a family reunion of great cooks, and there was none left over!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 8 slices each
  • 2 sticks butter (or margarine)
  • l C. sugar
  • l tsp. cinnamon
  • l 12-oz. can Mountain Dew soda

Directions

Separate crescent rolls into 16 triangles, place one apple slice in each triangle of dough and roll up from large end to small and place in a 9x13-inch pan. Melt butter and mix with sugar and cinnamon. Pour over dumplings. Pour Mountain Dew over all dumpligns.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

  • When I've made this recipe I've used brown sugar instead of white. It gives the recipe a caramel taste. My mother and I both like it better this way.
