  • 1 C. flour
  • ¼ C. granulated sugar
  • ⅓ C. whole milk
  • 2 sweet apples, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 2 C. vegetable oil, for frying
  • Glaze
  • 2 C. powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbs. water
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Combine all of the dry fritter ingredients in a bowl. Add in the milk and eggs and mix well. Fold in the apples. Heat a large pot of oil on the stove. Scoop in spoonfuls of the dough into oil until it forms a lumpy sphere. Once the dough floats to the top and is a golden color, the fritter is done.

To make the glaze, stir all of the ingredients together until it’s smooth. Dip the fritters into the glaze.
