This cake is very delicious. It is made with oats and apples of your choosing. When you take a bite, you get the crumbly cakey feeling, but at the same time, you also get a taste of the juicy apple.

  • 1 egg
  • ⅔ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon of baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1 cup of peeled, shredded apples of your choice

Preheat the oven to 350.
In a large mixing bowl, add and beat the egg, oil, sugar, and vanilla for about 1 minute. Then add flour, baking soda, and cinnamon, and beat everything until combined.
Stir in the oats and shredded apples into the mixture.
Pour the batter into a greased 8 x 8 casserole dish. Bake the cake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the center is set.
Allow the cake to cool before cutting it into squares and serving.
