This slow-cooker turkey takes some time, but it’s so worth it. It’s oozing with flavor and the juiciest turkey ever!

  • 1 14 lb. whole turkey
  • 3 sweet green (or red) apples, quartered
  • 1 large lemon, quartered
  • 2 heads of garlic
  • 5 sprigs of thyme
  • 5 sprigs sage
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly cracked pepper
  • ¼ C. olive oil
  • 1 stick of butter, sliced

Rinse the turkey and pat it dry. Cut the tops off of the garlic. Clean out the cavity and stuff it with the apples, lemon, rosemary, thyme, and sage. Coat the turkey with the olive oil and sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Put thin slits in the skin of the turkey and place the slices of butter in them. Cook on high for 9-91/2 hours.
