Apple Salsa

This is a great way to eat fruit. Use this as a garnish, relish, spread or eat it right out of the bowl!

Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 red apples
  • 1 pear, peach or plum
  • 1 can light cherry pie filling
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 tsp. brown sugar (more if needed)
  • Optional:
  • 1 dried prune or apricot
  • raisins or dried cranberries

Directions

Peel apples and other fruit. Put dried fruit in food processor and chop finely. Add 1/2 can cherry pie filling to food processor and pulse (do not puree!). Add apples slowly. Empty into bowl. Add pineapple, cinnamon, and sugar and stir. Put in fridge to chill.
