Ingredients
- 8 apples
- 1/2 C. water
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions
Quarter apples, remove cores, and cook in skins in water. Put through a food mill to remove skins or peel and core apples. Simmer in the water until tender. Stir in sugar, salt, and nutmeg, then simmer one minute longer. Adjust sugar for sweetness of apple.
