  • 1 lb. ribeye steak, sliced thinly against the grain
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 2 large hoagie rolls
  • 2 T. canola oil
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Slice hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and place four cheese slices on each. In a large skillet, heat oil until hot. Add onions and sauté until caramelized. Add steak and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook mixture for a few minutes, making sure not to overcook meat. Distribute meat between the two sandwiches and serve immediately.
