  • 1 can of pumpkin puree
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • The crust:
  • 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted and room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/3 cups of all-purpose flour

In large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, oil, sugar, and salt together until it is well-combined. Slowly add the flour and continue to stir when the soft dough forms.
Using a 9 ½ inch deep dish pie plate, sprinkle the dough in small clumps. With your fingers, lightly press the dough into the bottom and around the sides of the pie plate. Flour your hands sporadically to prevent sticking. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven at 350F and place a baking sheet on the rack while the oven is heating.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, large eggs, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, and cloves and whisk until the mixture is smooth. Place the smooth mixture into the chilled pie crust.
Place the pie on the baking sheet and bake for 50 minutes or until the pie has a light brown color. Let the pie cool for half an hour.
