Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 C. onion, chopped
  • 4 C. beef broth
  • 1 C.carrots
  • 1 C. potatoes, diced
  • 1 C. celery
  • 1 qt. canned tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 C. cabbage, chopped (optional)

Brown hamburger and onion; drain if needed. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 2 hours.
