Bacon Baked Beans

A great side dish for a barbeque! Always a big hit with males and females of all ages any time of year!

Ingredients

  • 1 11-14 oz. can of each:
  • 1 11-14 oz. can kidney beans
  • 1 11-14 oz. can cannelini beans
  • 1 11-14 oz. can baked beans
  • 1 11-14 oz. can lima beans (optional)
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1/2 C. ketchup
  • 2 Tbs. mustard
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional ingredients:
  • 1 can drained pineapple
  • 1/2 lb. browned and drained Italian sweet or hot sausage broken up into bits
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 3 oz. pkg. real bacon bits

Directions

Mix all ingredients together after draining cans of beans. (Can of baked beans can remain with sauce) Reserve 1/2 of the bacon bits for the topping and mix the rest into the bean mixture. Pour into casserole dish and top with remaining bacon bits. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until bubbly around edges and bacon bits crispy.
