  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 Tbs. dried onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. pickle slices, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. ranch dressing
  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese, cut in half
  • 1 egg

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Cook bacon over medium heat 2 minutes. Add beef and onion. Drain if necessary. Stir in pickles and ranch dressing.

  3. Unroll crescent rolls into 4 rectangles on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  4. Spoon 1/3 cup of the beef mixture onto one end of each roll.

  5. Top with tomato slices and one piece of cheese.

  6. Fold dough over the filling. Seal the edges with a fork.

  7. Brush the tops of each roll with the egg.

  8. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Serve warm.

  • I give this recipe 4 muffins. I did make a couple of minor changes. 1. I used cream cheese instead of cheddar. 2. I did not have any ranch dressing, but I did have an envelope of Hidden Valley dry Ranch mix and sour cream so I mixed 1 scant Tbs of the the dry mix into 3 Tbs of sour cream and used this instead of the dressing. 3. I left off the pickles. My family enjoyed this recipe for a change of pace.
