  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken stock
  • 9 cups frozen french style green beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon lemon juice

In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Saute onion in butter and oil until tender. Add the garlic and then stir in wine and bring to a boil. Simmer until liquid is reduced. Add green beans and seasonings. Heat until dish is warmed through. Stir in lemon juice and bacon and heat until the beans reach the desired doneness.
